A fourth generation Hawaii resident born and raised on Oahu, Kathy graduated from Punahou School in 1979.  She attended Arizona State University on a swimming scholarship and obtained a degree in Finance from ASU.

During her swimming career, Kathy held numerous National Age Group Records and was a member of U.S. National Teams travelling abroad.  In 1974, at the age of 14, Kathy ranked 4th in the world for the 100 meter butterfly and went on to compete in the 1976 and 1980 Olympic Trials.  She has held numerous Hawaii State swimming records, some of which have not been broken for over 30 years.  In 2008, Kathy was inducted into the Punahou School Athletic Hall of Fame .

After graduating from Arizona State University, Kathy travelled around the world for a year visiting many countries, spending extended periods in Paris (three months) and Milan (three months).

Kathy moved back to Hawaii in 1989 at which time she began her career as a Maui Real Estate Agent.  In addition to general brokerage, Kathy has experience in development sales at:  Makena Surf, Maui Kamaole, Iao Parkside and Southpointe.

Kathy is a member of the Realtors Association of Maui and has served on the following committees:  Professional Standards, Grievance and Multiple Listing Service.  She was also elected as the South Maui Regional Director in 2001.

Kathy can often be found enjoying the Maui coastline either paddling or surfing on her SUP surfboard.  She also enjoys playing doubles tennis, having represented Hawaii in USTA 4.5 Adult League Nationals.  Other interests include international travel, gardening, raising chickens and has been a Hospice Maui Volunteer.
